Afrika Afrika & Monkey: Journey to the West

Both of these projects were strategically commissioned as part of The O2’s outside programming to broaden the audience profile of people visiting the London arena.

Afrika Afrika – a modern circus show based in Germany – and Monkey: Journey To The West  – a modern eastern opera devised by Damon Albarn, Jamie Hewlett and the UK Chinese Ensemble that came to The O2 from the Royal Opera House – were both performed in tents to the side of the venue’s main arena.

To ensure exquisite operational delivery of these two high-value experiences, the teams worked in close liaison with the promoters of both shows.
